hung above calm chasms,
where the boney bodies remain,
yesterday and today aren't anything but a knuckle length apart,
like you and me,
cause for every Jesus Christ,
there are Machiavellian nights,
where we freeze til the shiver rhythm hushes us,
straight to slumber
